I don't like it - but the people I know that play it, love it. I get the appeal, it's just not my thing.
Well, now that I've decided I'm going to have to give it a shot again (considering most of my issues are due to lag/glitches/the occasional hacker/mostly the people that do nothing but play that game and run around with rocket launchers or grenade launchers) I have to say it's not too 'pay to win.' Really if you have a gun you're comfortable with, it's a matter of skill in most cases - I can pwn with my Nano even though it's on par or worse than most F2P secondaries. A lot of guns are the same as the paid versions, like Joker carbines, CR5 or whatever it's called - and that's a really, really good overall gun. It really is about finding what works for you. Some guns though, yeah, there can be a slight advantage for paying - like the Scout HVR. Still a 2 shot kill, but the immense amount of mobility you get allows you to shoot outside car windows, or do insane jump shots or . Couple guns here or there that can give you an edge, but it takes a decent player to use them well. OCA Whisper can be one of them, but I can beat most people at close range with a CR5 - and using it myself, I'm better with just a plain normal OCA whatever-the-fuck you get early on. On the other hand, cars? Yeah, that helps a lot. Having a car that's super fast like mine can give you a huge edge in most missions. Some cases, the ones with high durability (but still decent speed) are also pretty amazing to have. That's where you notice a pretty big difference. Or I guess Premium making you rank up a lot faster.
