I propose a challenge: who can make the better scenario - Sandbag or myself. Sent from a Potato using PotatoTalk
Arma's had Forge style editing since the beginning. Zeus is realtime adaptive wargaming with a D&D style DM running the show. Whole different ballgame. This is impressive. I'm excited (Can you tell?)
Forge, as in you can edit the map with players in a server, in that kind of sense? Not one person editing a file? I always assumed that's what the editor was, only one person working on a mission at a time. It looks neat, I'll have to admit, just surprised it hasn't happened sooner and is coming in the form of DLC - EA style.
One person edit, then throw it online for all. Last I saw Forge, that was how it worked. Zeus makes it all online and realtime though, at least for one editor. And DLC, yes -- but free DLC. More like a service pack or update.
Forge allows multiple people to edit a map at the same time to their liking, and switch back and forth between a player character and editor thing so you kind of playtest it - granted, you can't do things like grab a flag and cap it or anything, but you can kill each other and test how spawns work and such. I'm pretty sure it's always worked that way, though it usually only works well with 1 person editing unless you're well coordinated and have similar minds working at it - or some kind of detailed, well thought out plan. Free DLC is a bonus - not so much EA style in that case! Always good.
It's been around for a while in the form of a community made add-on. It's real time, in game, game master style editoing. sent through the air using science
I would like to do multiple ratings on Sandbag, I was stuck between Old and Bad Spelling for his previous post. Thanks. There should also be a button on his profile labeled 'Still Hasn't Set Up A New TS Instance' that bans him from games and alcohol for 24 hours so he is FORCED to set up a new TS instance that I can get to work on. Thanks.
Now that I've pointed out he has used incorrect punctuation with another 'Bad Spelling,' yes, I am done.
