DayZ 2012 is an authentic Vanilla DayZ Mod server featuring the weapon sets, vehicles, map, gear loadout and much more for the original mod. We hope to emulate the feelings you endured when you first played the mod back in the summer of 2012. We will be keeping the game as true to life as the original with a very few minor way of life tweaks keeping it fresh but also akin to its predecessor. There will be no base building, no extra overwatch content, no random buildings, no VIP perks. no added extras that were not part of the original game running on a smooth playable server with a lot of interaction and epic moments. Ah, misread.. It's just a server for vanilla DayZ mod.. With serverside mods to revert some later changes? Still sounds like a fun flashback
Yeah I was mislead as well. Just a vanilla server but it sounds like they will be fixing all the problems Rocket gave up on. And no clutter from other mods which is what I like most. Performance will be great I assume. Can't play on the server yet, its still in dev and invite only. I will absolutely be playing this when they open it up.
