So.. Trying Sandy's modpack again, still can't make it work. Using latest MultiMC. Just installed Java 7/64, tried previously on Java 8. Created a new instance. 1.7.10. Launched it, worked. Shut down, installed Forge. Launched, worked. Opened the mod folder, dumped in the modpack. Crashes, every time. Upped the RAM, just in case. 1024 init and 4096 max. No change. Sandy is bad at making mod packs. Everybody has issues. So why are you betraying us and leaving for Minecraft again, Saib? I missed that part.
My kid wanted to play some Minecraft with me, so I put a server up at our house. King & Sandy joined in, so I moved it up to the internet. Then Sandy said, "Vanilla, ick" and talked me into trying his pack.. Which hasn't worked well for me. I check out Minecraft every few major releases.. See what's new, build for a few weeks.
So what you're saying is, next time I have you in the scope of my DMR... I shouldn't hesitate to pull the trigger? Traitor.
Play it some and you'll cringe at the thought of playing mod again. I miss my helis, but in every other way it's so much more pleasant.
Where are you getting the mods? Because I think Sandy's upload at a time was either corrupted and/or out of date. I will put up another dropbox of his updated modpack as another mirror. https://www.dropbox.com/sh/nm8zngjrziivloi/AABQyAtc7exd8kPbLw8QsgpKa?dl=1 remove empty "mods" folder in .zip FYI: Make sure you extract the .zip and pull each individual .jar and .zip from inside the dropbox folder into the MultiMC "mods" folder (C:\....\MultiMC\instances\1.7.10\minecraft\mods). Believe it or not, someone I know dragged the whole zip in as well as placing the mods folder inside the mods folder causing his crashes. Your logs indicate they were loading correctly though, for the most part. Worst case scenario, hunt down, and install each of the mods individually with their correct versions - which is much easier than you think actually. @Sandbag you should start a thread of each mod and its source to keep us all up to date anyways. And also do we need to include the folders in the modpack download? Because I'm pretty sure the .jar creates the folders for you on launch, correct? If so, remove the folders from my dropbox folder and only transfer the .jar's over. Edit: Moved and updated Dropbox link
Links from Sandy. I'll try yours - I bet it was a bad download. I think you only want to include the mod folders if they have settings or something that you want.. Like I see you've got VoxelMods folder with VoxelMap settings and waypoints for Dune. On the other hand, most of the other folders seem empty.. And I'm not sure what's up with carpentersblocks (has a zip file) and the 1.7.10 folder with a few JARs in it... Though, I left all as-is from your download, and it booted. Few errors in the log still - I'll see if gameplay seems impacted. Thanks for the updated DL!
Let me know how you end up. I removed the unneccessary folders from my dropbox for any future downloads.
To be fair, I'm on a different PC today. I'll check the new link on my work machine Monday to see if that changes anything. This looks really neat and relevant - http://multimc.org/posts/introducing-quickmods.html Looks like it's just a matter of getting the proper download links into the right format for MultiMC to install it all for you. I'll check that out next time I can sit at my PC for a few.
That looks like a great feature, especially the way it auto-installs dependencies. This would make it incredibly easier to create modpacks.
