But if I judge it on other factors, avoiding mechanics, adapting, learning quickly, surviving, etc - I can understand why most people enrage me in MMOs.. Most players suck and just QQ until bosses get nerfed.

Neverwinter is an example, its a great game and I really liked it but the restriction of stand still combat ruined the game for me. I feel too restricted. Thats why I can only play GW. I am hoping Archage is less restricted as well but Sandys comment made it sound as if it is another stand still mash every button game.
Sep 1, 2014 3:32 AM - Abaddon: In GW 2 if you stop moving once, youre dead. Makes it more challenging and more skilled to cancel your animation mid swing due to reading the enemies animation coming at you. Brings much more of a survival feel and immersion in the fight.

So with my hammer i strafe left for a right handed swing, then right for the return lefthanded swing, dodging and hitting

In a lot of the dungeons you would see me and the cleric sliding and porting all over the place to avoid dragon fire and all types of AOE. If you find Neverwinter restrictive, Archeage will make you fell like you're in a straight jacket. GW2 combat style is a billion times more fluid.

Meaning you can run side to side and all around, but to actually cast or swing, you character has to stop for a split second, making you vulnerable and helpless until you are done casting or swinging.

It really does feel rigid by comparison. I do like some of the things Supp mentioned - the 3 skill trees - the free resets. That's nice, but I feel spoiled after fighting in GW2

Personally prefer as a caster having to stand to cast spells with a cast time - makes things tougher because if you have to move you need to interrupt it and fucking move asap. AA might be more like TERA, even if slightly toned down.

To be fair, he potentially could have triggered the one I strongly suspect it was had he known secrets don't trigger on your own turn.....
