On joining the server, I immediately start falling through the void and, after several seconds, am disconnected with the message "End of stream." On the odd occasion I can move around before I start falling, I still get kicked for this reason. The world's response to my actions is also greatly slowed; it takes a few seconds for doors to open, inventories to appear, etc. This started last night and has persisted after restarting my client/ computer. It started immediately after I setup a second turbine in the base. Maybe someone else could check to see if the issues are related? Nothing from my log is particularly useful, though I can post that if it would help.
You are not the only one... even with my basic fort, I fall through everywhere. Something is lagging the server. Didn't Sandy mention... TY has much stuff running in his base that lags a grip??
My main problem is not falling through the world, it is being disconnected after 15-30 seconds on the server. Basically I can't play at all.
If the server itself is having issues, might be a good idea to take a look into chunk loaders being used. I remember us having considerable issues with those. As well as the solar panels I believe they were? Particularly the ones that tracked the sun - enough of those lagged the server pretty badly, from what I recall. Beyond that, I know Tekkit takes up a huge amount of resources and we had to make sure timely restarts were put in place - namely scanning how much resources were being used at certain intervals and if it was over a certain threshold, restart the server, as there seemed to be a correlation between the two. Granted, it still seemed to be below by like 2 percent and the server would be really laggy so often it'd get restarted manually, but meh. Some suggestions to look into in an attempt to be helpful, regardless.
Issue seems to be resolved. Likely stemmed from using fluid interfaces to transport large amounts of steam. I will just use tesseracts instead.
