So, after some conversations with @Saiboogu , i have setup my own automated download server. Currently: Dowloading SABnzbd TV Shows nzbdrone Movies CouchPotato Music Headphones Wondering what you guys are using, and what is your preference of SABnzbd vs. nzvget, and nzbdrone vs. sickbeard. I really like nzbdrone, but it seems to crash a lot. also, I could use some good indexer invites if anyone has one
I've only used SABnzbd because I've never had a problem with it - works great. Sickbeard over nzbdrone, though I did poke around with nzbdrone once and it looked like it had potential. I'll probably keep an eye on nzbdrone for a switch in the future. My media server locked up and I'm away from the house till Friday, but I'll make you an account on my spotweb install when I get back, if you want - It serves me pretty well as an indexer. Though it's also really simple to self host ;-) Unlike traditional indexers that take RAM, bandwidth, temp space and SQL storage by the hundreds of gigs. After I spent a few weeks trying to establish an indexer of my own, I gained an understanding of why they are so exclusive and tend to charge. It's brutally intensive process to index, downloading enough of every single article to verify encryption, integrity and contents.
that would be awesome! In exchange, since I have my NAS with terrabytes of storage, I have much more to offer on plex now
I definitely need to sort out my Plex issues. Went away for vacation - PlexWeb was fine, but my FireTV couldn't see my library at all, even after logging in. I know you complain some about it being offline. Something intermittent and obnoxious to troubleshoot, just like my hard lockups. I hate my media library sometimes.
