Ok so I have plans to get a new computer for gaming. Basically a gaming PC. Any suggestions, I do not want lag anf want to be able to play gives with great quality and be able to fit plenty on a hard drive. Good graphics card as well. Any help would be appreciated.
first things first, you have to have a budget. Good gaming hardware is expensive and you can go overboard fast. Also, there are so many options, you need to know at what point you are sacrificing some quality for price (sure you COULD throw in that $700 graphics card... but if you only have a budget of $500, you are already over.) Also, are we starting from scratch, or upgrading your current computer?
.. and do you prefer a name brand prebuilt or a DIY rig? DIY will generally be cheaper and more reliable --- assuming you build it well.
If you're willing to build your own, that'll be cheapest, usually. Gorian is right that you need a budget - you can build a lot of different systems, depends on what you spend.
I would rather start from scratch. I am more than capable of building my own computer. And I have a set price between $500-$700
Once you give us a list of what you already have, we can start working on suggestions for the rest that will give you a good computer while staying withing your budget. Another thing, are you biased towards any brand? Like, you HAVE to have NVIDIA vs. AMD, or INTEL vs AMD, etc. if you don't, then you can make sure you are getting the best bang for the buck.
Building your own will save you a lot of money. You could check out ibuypower to get some estimates and figure out your budget. You can fully customize the hardware in all their PC's. And once you figure out what parts you would like I'd recommend hunting around and getting them from Newegg and other similar sites to get better prices on each individual part. Here is the cheapest decent gaming PC from Newegg. (You can always upgrade it as needed). An i7, good graphics card, and a 1TB hard drive I think are most important for running top end games smoothly and having the space for the ridiculous sizes of games these days, although you can get away with cheaper alternatives. Personally not a fan of AMD - spend a little more for Intel & NVIDIA. I'm not a spec expert like a lot of people in our clan, but I configured a basic gaming PC recommendation just for fun. You can always get a lesser package and upgrade over time. Even better! And like I said, use the site to put together your rig, then hunt down the pieces on misc. credible websites to get a better deal in all. Keep an eye out for parts sales. Talk to Robby, he seems to be pretty "up" on the latest parts, knows where to get them at a great price, and is always comparing specs of equipment.
If this plan works out, and the way people fail over this Flappy Birds ordeal I will have enough to buy a better computer. Why not exploit the ordeal while its hot? Yeah, I had flappy birds on my apple and android and I am selling both :> Apparently the minds of people say spend outrageous money cause the app is now discontinued.
Haha wow, thats just a media trend/controversy put in place to make more people want to play the game. In another week, no one will remember this "flappy bird." Plus at the ridiculous prices, I doubt any are actually selling.
