Season 2 of the WvW Tournament starts March 28th and will run until May 30th! This means WvW is going to be absolutely CRAZY for the next 7 weeks and full of nonstop epic battles. This is a tournament between all servers to determine which server stands as the greatest! In the first round, servers with the highest ratings will be matched up against other servers with the highest rating, and so on down the ranks. From there, each server will be match up according to the total points they earn from each round, making ranks completely unpredictable. Ties will be determined by overall server rating. Current Leaderboard Server transfer costs will be adjusted during the tournament, according to the ranking of the server rather than population (highest ranked servers cost a maximum of 2400 gems while lowest ranks cost 1000 gems). At the end of the tournament, everyone who has completed the meta achievement will be given a chest containing WvW Tournament tickets. The total number of tickets you receive depends on your world’s final standing in the tournament (500 tickets for 1st, ranging down to 200 tickets for 9th). You’ll be able to trade those tickets in for different rewards (including 2 new weapon skin sets!). Every single achievement has an associated item reward as well as achievement points. You'll also receive a unique title, and players in the top three worlds of each league will receive a limited-use dolyak trophy finisher.
