Everyone keeps asking me what they should put their points earned in WvW towards. I followed this guide made by a guild mate. Start with the base build to get your basic upgrades needed to minimally help out your team, then after that is filled choose a specialty of either Siege Master or Guard Destroyer. For mastery, choose whichever you feel you enjoy doing most and suites your class and play style first. (Short range siege like AC and Rams should be heavy armor only to be able to withstand heavy enemy AOE and AC, where lighter armors would be better at longer range siege like trebs and ballistas). Keep in mind it would make sense to have everyone in a team specialize in different types of siege, so ask around and see what mastery's we are missing. Base Build 10 pts -> Supply Mastery 5 pts -> Build Mastery 4 pts -> Repair Mastery 5 pts -> Cat Mastery (extra damage to walls) 15 pts -> AC Mastery (range and damage) 5 pts -> Ram Mastery (Iron Hide) Total : 44 pts Specialty : Siege Master 45 pts -> Cat Mastery (the last 25 points for 3s of invulnerability every 20s isn't worth it unless we stack 5 or 6 cats inside one bubble) 45 pts -> Ram Mastery (cooldown, 'Slam Impact') 35 pts -> AC Mastery (radius, longer conditions) 30 pts -> Treb Mastery (damage, radius, cows drain supply. The healing oasis and drain supply camp on hit are too situational IMO) 50 pts -> Ballista Mastery (range, damage, cooldown) Total : 205 pts (In any order. I would suggest maxing out one first, max out seige might, then start other masteries) Specialty : Guard Destroyer 115 pts -> Defense Against Guards (+250 vitality after killing 5 NPCs) 115 pts -> Guard Killer (+100 power and condition damage after killing 5 NPCs) Total : 230 pts As a frontline (warrior/guardian) in zergs you need to have seige bunker, ram mastery, cat mastery, seige might, defense against guards, and guard killer at the very least in that order. Backline (ele/necro/mes/thief/ranger) in zergs need seige bunker, defense against guards, guard killer at the very least in that order. Roamers/havoc (any class) need defense against guards, guard killer, seige bunker, AC mastery, treb mastery, cat mastery, and ballista mastery in that order.
